CARMINA TAYLOR

PREVENTION & WELLNESS LIAISON

Carmina Taylor has been an Organizational Development Practitioner for over 10 years in the Philadelphia region, conducting numerous community education and awareness training on civic engagement, emotional intelligence, team building and leadership. Carmina has been working with the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth and their Families (DSYCF) as a substance prevention facilitator for three years. She works closely with coaches, caregivers and student athletes by delivering evidence-based substance prevention curriculum with an emphasis on making healthy choices and promoting physical and mental wellness. In addition, Carmina is trained and certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid and Emotional CPR. She is also a trainer in Trauma Informed Care.

Carmina is the founder of the Movement for Black and Brown Lives in Montgomery County and a consultant for the Montgomery County Cultural Proficiency and Equity Student Ambassadors. Currently she is the first Director of Campus and Community Engagement at Jefferson University. Carmina is committed  to make a difference with every engagement she encounters. In 2022, Carmina was honored by the White House at President Biden’s United We Stand Summit as a national, local hero “UNITER”, for her years of work against hate throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
